Japanese company has launched Daihatsu Kopen Roadster Concept, all - new to be unveiled in world premiere at the festival, the edition of the Tokyo Motor Show 2013.
Close to the standard model, concept Kopen rediscovers the same philosophy as its predecessor, but with a contemporary look and innovative solutions. To begin with, the size will still be ultra - compact: The prototype has a length of only 3395 mm, width 1475 mm and height 1,275 mm.
The roof is made of metal and you can open and close electrically controlled, as in the segment coupe cabriolet - high. Compared with the old Copen, a new model in a little less sympathy but more on aggression, speaking in terms of style. At the front is characterized by a large triangular -shaped cluster, but also for the central grille in a trapezoidal shape. Ideally connected to shield lights bumper by two elements with vertical development, partly made of metal -coated, partially satin. In the concept is very clean, thanks to the handle, but may be present in the standard version. Quite well again, which indicates a fairly modern style accent lamps and intricate, as well as sporty or faux dual exhaust chrome air extractor.
The interior has a somewhat minimalist, but set in a very rich, at least on the prototype: we can note the presence of carbon fiber and leather upholstery with contrasting stitching, which makes the interior really useful at first glance.
The production version is expected to be available for next year, while there are rumors that the motor could be 0.66 - liter three -cylinders, mated to a CVT transmission with shift paddles on the steering wheel.
